At Boxley, one of our core beliefs is to be responsible stewards of the environment. We pride ourselves on the commitment we make to reduce the impacts made by our work. Upholding the Boxley way means thinking Greener. Smarter. Better. ® daily. Our teams continually seek and implement ways to be more environmentally friendly.
“We always strive to have a positive impact on the world around us. Finding ways of recycling our products, by-products, and equipment are small moves we make to have a large impact.” – Jeff Perkins (President)
Our Corporate Responsibility Reports are issued yearly, offering a transparent look into the progress we make upholding our commitment. Reducing, reusing, and recycling at the ground level with batteries, paper, computers, etc., transpires into larger-scale items in the field, such as concrete, asphalt, water, metals, and more.
Through the years, our recycling and environmental efforts have received recognition. Our asphalt plants have received the Diamond Achievement Commendation from the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA), and our concrete plants have received the Green-Star Certification by the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA). Boxley’s Garnand Branch Walking Trail project in the City of Roanoke was acknowledged with the prestigious Virginia Asphalt Association Green Paving Award.
