Boxley Asphalt Projects Earn Statewide Recognition

Boxley’s Asphalt division walked away with top awards at the Virginia Asphalt Association Mid-Atlantic Expo & Conference held this past December.

Boxley’s Rt. 460 Appomattox Bypass Rubblization project won the VDOT Lynchburg District Construction Paving Award and was runner up for the Best Construction in the State Award. Partnering with VDOT, Boxley employed an innovative and cost-effective asphalt solution to repair a stretch of highway in Appomattox where concrete slabs were rocking, creating a rough ride.

Boxley’s Garnand Branch Walking Trail project in the City of Roanoke was acknowledged with the prestigious Virginia Asphalt Association Green Paving Award. Using full porous asphalt pavement, Boxley was able to provide the Greenway with a sustainable and cost-effective solution to manage stormwater run-off. “These awards underscore Boxley’s dedication to utilizing innovative and sustainable approaches and products to deliver customer solutions,” said Charles Craddock, vice president, Boxley Asphalt. “We are so proud of our team and the top of the line work they put into every job.”
