Boxley Lynchburg Asphalt Employees Bring Inspiration to Head Start

Boxley employees from our Lynchburg asphalt location completed their United Way’s Day of Caring by participating in Head Starts Fun Day. Sponsored by Lynchburg’s Community Action Group who specializes in providing educational services to children between the ages of 3-5 who come from low to moderate-income families in the area.

Our volunteers were excited for the opportunity to have a positive influence on the children through play and creativity. They inspired self-expression while assisting in arts and crafts and shaped the idea of honesty, integrity, and teamwork through games.

Boxley is a significant supporter of United Way. Since 2000, Boxley employees, with matching funds from the company, have donated nearly $1.7 million to United Way. This year, Team 360 chose to supplement the company’s financial support with volunteer support, encouraging employees to participate with United Way’s Day of Caring in each of the communities Boxley serves.

The Lynchburg asphalt volunteer project is one of many Day of Caring projects made possible through the Boxley 360 Corporate Responsibility program.
