Boxley and the Virginia Museum of Natural History (VMNH) are proud to present “From the Ground Up: Exploring Earth Science,” a STEM education collaborative focused on environmental stewardship and protection. Program topics include “Rocks & Minerals Uncovered”, “Water Cycle Voyage”, “Renewable or Not?”, and “We’re All in a Watershed.” VMNH educators offer Standards of Learning (SOL) compliant programs in schools throughout the 23 communities Boxley serves, and includes an optional hands-on learning opportunity at one of Boxley’s aggregate operations.

United Way

Boxley supports community human services through participation in United Way by matching 100% of employee pledges. In 2018, 235 Boxley employees pledged $55,812 for a total company donation of $111,624, bringing total United Way giving to $1.67 million since 2000.

Boxley 360, is the company’s employee-led corporate responsibility program. It underscores our ongoing commitment to be an outstanding employer, business partner, and corporate citizen. Boxley’s Team 360 efforts are published annually in our Boxley 360: Corporate Responsibility Reports.
