Boxley Concrete Plants Earn NRMCA Green-Star Certification In 2011, all 12 Boxley concrete plants earned the prestigious Green-Star Certification by the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA). Eight of the plants earned their original Green-Star status in 2009 and re-certified in 2011. All four of Boxley’s plants added since 2009, earned the Green-Star Certification. Read more > |

Sawyer Paving Earns NAPA Diamond Achievement Commendation Sawyer Paving earned the Diamond Achievement Commendation for Excellence in Asphalt Plant/Site Operations from the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA). The NAPA Diamond Achievement Commendation addresses six essential facets of the asphalt plant/site: appearance, operations, environmental practices, safety, permitting and regulatory compliance, and community relations. |
Getting Involved
Green Star flag raising at Boxley's Roanoke concrete plant; first Green Star certified plant in Virginia. Boxley's Blue Ridge concrete plant has been certified second in the state.
The Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce presented the Boxley quarry in Fieldale the Small Business of the Year Award for Manufacturing in 2009.
The Fieldale quarry has been in operation for more than 50 years, mining rocks that are used to produce aggregate, block and concrete.
In addition to its economic impact, Boxley's Fieldale operation is committed to the area by supporting the United Way and making financial and product donations for various community projects.
