BLOCK
2 ½ Bags of Mortar per 100 Block (40 block per bag)
100 block per 800 pounds of Sand
250 block per Ton of Sand
1.125 blocks per square foot of wall area
75% of length of wall gives number of block per course
Wall height in feet times 1.5 equals number of courses
BRICK
7-8 bags of mortar per 1000 brick (143 brick per bag)
1 ton of sand per 1000 brick
7 Standard bricks per square foot of wall area
5.5 Engineer (oversized brick) per square foot of wall area
1½ bricks per running foot of wall
4.625 courses of brick per foot of wall height
CONCRETE
Typical 3000 psi mix
2000 pounds of stone
1000 pounds of sand
6 bags of cement
SAND & AGGREGATE
Approximately 110 pounds per cubic foot
Approximately 3000 pounds per cubic yard
18 shovels per bag of mortar
800 pounds of Sand for 100 Block
